NEW HORSE: Solo

Congratulations to Kristin Loewenthal on the lease of “Solo” (pictured above), a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding.  Look for these two in the Adult Amateur jumper ring!  A great big thank you to Nina and Mariano Alario for this incredible horse.

New Pony: Junior Mint

Congratulations to Caroline Robbins on the lease of Junior Mint.  This large pony has been quite a find for which we give a big “thank-you” to Stacey Schafer and Ben Guanciale!  Caroline and “Junior” have already been enjoying lots of success in the show ring, as pictured above at Menlo, and are a great match.  Look for these two in the large pony hunters and age group equitation rings!

HMI August Classic Results

The HMI August Classic at Sonoma Horse Park was a great show for Chestnut Hill competitors with tri-color ribbons in the jumpers, hunter and equitation divisions.  Hayley Jacquin and her new pony, “Right On Time” (pictured above) earned their championship in the Short Stirrup Equitation 10 & Under by winning every class in the division! The new duo also brought home a reserve championship ribbon in the Children’s Pony Hunter division, and a red ribbon in the Horse & Hound Pony Medal.

Kristin Loewenthal and her horse, Le Petit, were champions in the Pre-Adult Amateur Jumpers and reserve champions in the Adult Amateur Training Jumpers.

Mia Rudick and Reveille took home their championship in the Children’s Hunter 17 & Under division, and also came in fourth in the $1,000 Rebalance Pilates Children’s/Adult Amateur Hunter Classic.

Making their show ring debut, Madeline Twomey and Guardian Angel (pictured below), brought home a blue ribbon in the Walt Trot division. Congratulations to all!

Emerald City Sold

Congratulations to the trainers at Wells Bridge Farm in Parker, CO on the purchase of “Toto” for a client.  This lovely horse has done a great job since arriving at Chestnut Hill three years ago.  Good luck with this very special horse!

Final CH Grad!

Congratulations to Grace Lukach who graduated from high school and is heading off to start college at University of California, Santa Cruz. Grace started riding ponies with Beverly many years ago, and won the NorCal Pony Medal Final and the NorCal Pony Equitation division on “Thanks Dad” in 2004.  Grace went on to several successful seasons in the hunter ring, with her horse, “Miracle.” Then, with her lovely mare, “Angel Smiling,” (pictured above), Grace won the Hudson & Company Medal Final, Pickwick Medal Final, was 3rd in the CPHA Medal Final and 4th in the WCE Medal Final.  We are very proud of all of Grace’s accomplishments – both in and out of the saddle – and wish her much good luck!

Another CH grad!

Congratulations to Evi Steyer, who graduated from high school and is heading off to New Haven, Connecticut to attend Yale University in just a few weeks. Evi started riding with Beverly at age six!  Evi has had a great children’s and junior career and an especially successful show season with her leased mount, “Portland” this year.  We all are very proud of Evi and wish her good luck in her college career!

Another CH grad!

Congratulations to CH rider, Grace McLaughlin who graduated from high school and is heading off to New York University this fall!  Grace started riding with Beverly in 2002 and has become a very successful rider during those years, most notably, winning the NorCal Medal Final in 2009 on Santo (pictured above).  We are very proud of Grace’s many accomplishments and wish her good luck in the big apple this fall!
