Farewell to Fancy

Fancy, the much-loved, 28 year-old Welsh cross who came to Chestnut Hill as Will Twomey’s first pony, died peacefully last Saturday.  During his long life he competed in the large pony division, taught numerous kids to ride, and more recently, spent his days freely roaming the farm and stealing lunches from the empty stalls with his partner in crime, Pacheco.  He will be missed.

Northern Winter Classic II Results

Chestnut Hill riders had fun (pictured above left to right are: Caroline DeMoss, Grace and Gwen McLaughlin and Kelley LaFond) and did well at the Northern Winter Classic II show.  Results included championships in First Year Green, Adult Amateur Modified and Small/Medium Pony Hunters as well as Equitation 18+ and Pony Equitation divisions, and reserve championships in Children’s and Training Hunters.  Equitation riders brought home blues in the WCE, CPHA, National Children’s and NorCal Pony Medals.  Congratulations to all!
