Kate Treacy started her riding career at the young age of 7 in West Marin and has continued in her love of horses ever since. As a junior, Kate rode with esteemed west coast trainers such as Laura O’Connor and Bob Walker, honing her skills in the jumpers and equitation. She boasts a very successful junior career, earning herself numerous championships in equitation.
After graduating from Santa Clara University with a degree in Communication with an emphasis in digital film, Kate began her professional career in the equine industry. She started working as an FEI groom, barn manager and rider for Juan Pablo Gnecco, giving her experience and insight into whole horse care at a top level international program. She has also worked for John Charlebois and Bert Mutch, and Missy Froley and Dick Widger, earning herself a variety of professional show experience, including riding to Zone 10 HOTY awards.
